how to get medical marijuana in New Jersey
bECOMING A CAREGIVER
A patient who is certified for medical marijuana may elect up to two caregivers. If the patient has a condition that has progressed to a level that is too severe that they can't physically go a dispensary themselves, they may have a caregiver. Caregivers my purchase marijuana from a dispensary without the patient present.
Caregivers are required to submit fingerprints for a criminal background check.

Register by visiting New Jersey Medical Marijuana registry. Patients under the age of 18 are required to have a caregiver.

Complete the required Criminal Background Investigation Form which is accessible at the NJ Medical Marijuana registry.

Complete fingerprinting at a location provided per the instructions on the Criminal Background Investigation Form.

Return to the Patient/Caregiver Registry and pay for your medical card $100 or, if eligible for a reduced fee, $20.
